HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1937 05 03 May 3, 1937 Minutes of the regular meeting of the City Council, of the City of Tustin, held in the City of Tustin, California, at 8:00 P.M. May 3, 1937 Present: Councilman: Huntley, Logan,.Kiser, Pieper, Wilson. Absent: None Minutes of the regular meeting held April 19, 1937 were read and approved. Moved by Councilman Logan, seconded by Council- W.K. Hillyard man Kiser, that W.K. Hillyard, of Santa Ana, California appointed City be appointed to the office of City Engineer of the Engineer City of Tustin, Orange County, California, to fill the vacancy recently created by the resignation of City Engineer J.L. McBride; said appointment to be at and during the pleasure of the City Council, said office to be as provided in Resolution No. 3 of the City of Tustin, without regular salary, but the said City Engineer to be payed the reasonable value of such services as he .shall be called upon to perform in connection to said office. The City Engineer to assume the duties of his office immediately. Carried and so ordered. Resolution No. Resolution No. 66 was introduced and read by 66 introduced. Councilman Logan. Moved by Councilman Kiser, seconded by Council- Resolution No 66 man Logan, that Resolution No. 66 pertaining to the adopted removal of weeds, be adopted. Carried and so ordered. Earl Handley's Moved by Councilman Logan, seconded by Councilman salary to be Pieper that Earl Handley's salary be raised, to the raised sum of One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars per month, effec- tive as of the first of May 1937, pending the outcome of his father's illness. Carried and so ordered. Moved by Councilman Pieper, seconded by Council- man Logan that the followings bills be payed and war- Bills to be paid rants drawn for the respective amounts. Glen Hansell $16.20 First National Bank (Service bills) 31.83 Gilbert-Weston-Stearns 8.74 Carters Grocery 8.53 Harold Carson 3.02 Chas. O. Artz 36.00 Carried and so ordered.
