HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1936 04 20204 April 20, 1936 Minutes of the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Tustin, held at the City Hall in the City of Tustin, at 8 o'clock p.m., on April 20, 1936. Present: Councilmen Huntley, Logan, Pieper and Schwendeman. Absent: Councilman Kiser. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. The returns of the election held April 14, 1936 were canvassed and the following results were found: Election Total number of votes cast in consolidated results precenct "A' comprising State and County precincts Numbers Tustin City No. 1, and Tustin City No. 2 were 33. Harbour ....................... 32 Scattering ........................... 1 For City Treasurer full term of four years: Walter J. Pollard .................. 31 Scattering ............................. 1 W.M. Huntley, J.F. Pieper, J.R. Harbour and Oath of Office Walter J. Pollard were declared elected and a cer- imposed. tificate of election was duly authenticated and signed by the Clerk and delivered to each Officer elected and the Oath of Office was imposed and names subscribed thereto. Resolution No. 57 declaring results of the Res. 57 election held April 1, 1936 was introduced and passed. read. On motion of Councilman Logan, seconded by Councilman Schwendeman, Resolution No. 57 was passed by the following vote to Ayes: Councilmen Logan, Pieper and Schwen- deman. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Kiser. Pres. of Councilman Logan moved that W.M. Huntley be Council elected. nominated President of the City Councilmen and by a unanimous vote, was elected. On motion of Councilman Pieper, M.A. Cain Cain reappointed was reappointed City Attorney. Res. 58 adopted Resolution No. 58 was introduced and read and on motion of Councilman Logan was adopted. Moved by Councilman Pieper that the follow- ing bills be paid and warrants drawn for the res- pective amounts: Floyd Hawkins $20.00 A.M.
