HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1934 11 19 November 19th, 1934 Minutes of regular meeting of City Council of the City of Tustin held at the City Hall in the City of Tustin, at 8:00 p.m. on Monday the 19th day of November, 1934. Present: Councilmen Huntley, Schwendeman, Kiser and Pieper. Meeting called to order by Mayor Huntley. City Clerk Harbour being absent on account of illness, Deputy City Clerk Morris Cain acted as Clerk, Minutes of last meeting were read and approved. Oral communications were discussed. Application of Chas. A. Cleary to erect a priv- ate target practice range at 333 West Sixth Street, Application for Tustin, California, for small bore firearms, same to target practice have a one-quater inch steel back stop with 8" x 8" range presented. and heavy Eucalyptus logs for butts, the same to be approximately 150 feet from the street and to be used privately for target practice, was presented and filed. It was moved by Councilman Kiser, seconded by Councilman Pieper that said application of Chas. A. Cleary to erect private target range be granted. Same Motion carried. to be constructed in accordace with the specifications to erect target set out in said application, to-wit: One-quarter inch practice range steel back-stop with 8" x 8" and heavy Eucalyptus logs for butts, and to be approximately 150 feet from the street, to be used privately for target practice, upon the condition that same shall be erected with the understanding that the City Council reserves the right to order the use of the same to be discontinued at any time in the event the same shall, in the opinion of the City Council, have become either a public or private nuisance. Motion carried. Moved by Councilman Pieper, seconded by Council- SERA equipment man Schwendeman, that John Stanton, Chief of Police, to be purchased. be authorized to purchase the necessary and required equipment for SERA workers employed as guards and al- lotted and used in the City of Tustin. Motion carried. Moved by Councilman Kiser, seconded by Council- Postage stamps man Pieper, that John Stanton, Chief of Police, be to be purchased. authorized to purchase for the use of the City of Tustin, $10.00 in postage stamps, and that a City Warrant be issued to him in the sum of $10.00 to be used in the purchase of said postage stamps.
