HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1933 10 02 October 2nd, 1933 The regular semi-monthly meeting of the City Council of the City of Tustin, was called to order by the Mayor at eight o'clock P. M. on the above date, in the City Hall. Councilmen Present: Huntley, Logan, Pieper, Kiser and Schwendeman. Councilmen Absent: None. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Councilman Schwendeman reports that he interviewed Ritner's on Bryan Street with regard to location for trash burning, but they would not lease the property. Councilman Logan presented a letter from the Auto Club of Southern California, regarding school zone signs, and it was moved by Councilman Pieper, seconded by Councilman Schwendeman, that the committee appointed (Logan and Kiser) be empowered to act as they see fit in regard to the signs. The Clerk was instructed to write the Tustin Water Works advising them that the streets have not been left in proper shape after the installation of pipe in various places, and requesting them to get in touch with the Street Superintendent and follow his instructions as to repairs. Street Superintendent Stanton was instructed to see to breaks in sidewalks at various places, and it was moved by Councilman Kiser, seconded by Councilman Logan, that after these places are located and the property owners ascertained that each property owner be notified by letter to make necessary repairs at the discretion of the Street Superintendent. Carried and so ordered. Councilman Logan reported on the drainage ditch on Prospect, stating that the cleaning of the ditch was almost completed, but until the completion of the cleaning, no further negotiations. had been entered into with Mr. Neff of the County Highway. Moved by Councilman Kiser, seconded by Councilman Pieper, that Ernest Crawford be given a permit to remove cypress tree on his property. Carried and so ordered. Moved by Councilman Pieper, seconded by Councilman Logan, that the bills be paid.
