HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1933 09 18 September 18th, 1933 The regular semi-monthly meeting of the City Council of the City of Tustin, was called to order by the Mayor, at eight o'clock P. M. on the above date, in the City Hall. Councilmen Present: Huntley, Pieper, Logan, Kiser and Schwendeman. Councilmen Absent: None. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Councilman Schwendeman reported on the proposed site of the old lumber yard for trash burning, stating that the Tustin Estate would accept $50.00 per year for the location, but had been asked by certain neighbors not to lease it, as they did not want the smoke blowing into their place. Councilman Schwendeman was in- structed to continue his search for a location. The matter of the widening of Myrtle Avenue was again taken up, and it was left to the City Attorney to take up the widening of this street with Mr. Rinard. Street Superintendent Stanton was instructed to see to the filling of the cracks in First Street at C. The matter of School Zone signs was taken up, and it was moved by Councilman Pieper, seconded by Councilman Logan, that sufficient signs be made or bought, and that the Mayor appoint a committee to act. Carried and so ordered. Councilmen Logan and Kiser were appointed to this Committee by the Mayor. . Moved by Councilman Logan, seconded by Councilman Pieper, that bill be paid. Carried and so ordered, and.the following presented: R. G. Cartwright, Ins. ............................$63.21 Moved by Councilman Kiser, seconded by Councilman Pieper that the meeting adjourn.
