HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1933 07 03127 July 3rd, 1933. The regular semi-monthly meeting of the City Council of the City of Tustin, was called to order by the Mayor at eight o'clock P. M. on the above date in the City Hall. Councilmen Present: Huntley, Logan, Kiser and Pieper. Councilmen Absent: Schwendeman. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. A communication of the State Chamber of Commerce was read regarding the National Industrial Recovery Act, and Council- man Logan and Councilman Kiser reported on a meeting in Los Angeles on the same subject, and the communication was ordered filed. Councilman Logan reported that the K. P. Building Association had agreed to a 25% reduction in the rent of the City Hall, and the Tustin Water Works a 25% reduction in the fire plug rental. The matter of the laying of new pipe by the Water Company on Main Street was brought up, and it was tabled pending the completion of the job, to see if the Water Company replaced any pavement or street work which they tore up. Councilman Logan requested repair work for the Fire Truck, and was given authority to see to all necessary repairs. The Clerk was instructed to write the Police Judge asking for a report on all fines uncollected and possibility of collect- ing balance of unpaid fines, and make such report to the Council monthly. It was moved by Councilman Pieper, seconded by Councilman Logan that the meeting adjourn. Carried and so ordered. P. C. Brooks Approved. City Clerk signed by J. R. Harbour W. M. Huntley Mayor
