HUIZAR, CHIEF DEPUTY CITY CLERK SUBJECT: INTERVIEW AND APPOINTMENT OF PLANNING AND PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION MEMBERS SUMMARY: The City Council will conduct interviews and cast ballots to appoint members to the Planning Commission and Parks and Recreation Commission. RECOMMENDATION: Conduct interviews and cast ballots to determine appointments for the Planning Commission and Parks and Recreation Commission. FISCAL IMPACT: None BACKGROUND: On March 1, 2004, the City Council set the date and time of March 15, 2004, at 5:15 p.m. to conduct interviews to fill Commission/Committee vacancies. The following candidates have submitted their applications and are seeking appointment to the Planning Commission and Parks and Recreation Commission: Planning Commission - two (2) vacancies for 2 -year terms expiring on March 1, 2006. All applicants meet the qualification of being a registered voter in the City: Alan Beals, Brett Floyd, Jorene Jameson, Ty Brannon Keith, Leslie Pontious, Robert B. Schoenburg, and Judith V.
