The regular semi-monthly meeting of the City Council of the City
of Tustin was called to order by the Mayor on the above date at
eight o'clock P. M. in the City Hall.
Councilmen Present: Huntley, Logan, Pieper and Kiser.
Councilmen Absent: Schwendeman.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Written communications were read by the Clerk and the communication
from the Sheriff regarding a proposed radio station received the
following action. It was moved, seconded and carried that a
committee be apoointed from the Council to look into expense and
see if this City wishes to join in the broadcasting system.
Councilman Logan was appointed by the Mayor to act on this committee.
The matter of the Gatzlaff sign at A and First Streets was brought
up and placed before the City Attorney, who advised that it could
be removed and the sign was ordered taken down.
It was regularly moved, seconded and carried that the City pay
$25.00 toward the expense of a delegate from the Fire Department
to the Fireman's Convention.
Regularly moved, seconded and carried that Ordinance 37 regulating
tax rate at $1.37 be adopted.
Regularly moved, seconded and carried that bills be paid.
There being no further business, it was regularly moved, seconded
and carried that the meeting adjourn.
