CONSENT CALENDAR: None PUBLIC HEARING: 1. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT(CUP)2016-29 APPLICANT: Stuart Haskin Get Safe 15032 Red Hill Ave., Unit E Tustin, CA 92780 PROPERTY OWNER: Borchard Redhill CA 4-14 Fund LLC c/o Depasquale Kelley& Company 19200 Von Karman Ave., #1000 Irvine, CA 92612-8528 LOCATION: 15032 Red Hill Avenue, Unit E REQUEST: To establish and operate a community safety and self-defense studio within an existing 2,945 square foot tenant space. ENVIRONMENTAL STATUS: This project is categorically exempt (Class 1) pursuant to Section 15301 of the California Environmental Quality Act. RECOMMENDATION: That the Zoning Administrator adopt Zoning Administrator Action (ZAA) No. 17-003 approving CUP 2016-29 to establish and operate a community safety and self-defense studio within an existing 2,945 square foot tenant space located at 15032 Red Hill Avenue, Unit E. It was noted there were no members of the public in attendance for this item. The Zoning Administrator opened the Public Hearing item. The applicant, Stuart Haskin, was in attendance. He provided a brief background on the project. The Zoning Administrator stated he reviewed the staff report and did not have any questions regarding the staff report. He asked Mr. Haskin if he had an opportunity to review the staff report and if he agreed with the Conditions of Approval. Mr. Haskin referred to Condition 2.3 and his classes being back-to-back but that time is allowed in Zoning Administrator Action Agenda February 15, 2017 Page 2 between for students to change. The Zoning Administrator stated the reason for that condition is to avoid overlap and to allow students to vacate the premises and for other students to arrive. The Zoning Administrator approved ZAA 17-003. The public hearing item was closed at 10:04 a.m. REGULAR BUSINESS: None ADJOURNMENT: 10:04 a.m. The date of the next meeting of the Zoning Administrator will be scheduled when items are set for hearing.
