HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 93-093 3 4 5 6 ?, 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 21 RESOLUTION NO. 93-93 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR FUNDS FOR THE TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT ACTIVITIES PROGRAM UNDER THE INTERMODAL SURFACE TRANSPORTATION ACT OF 1991 FOR THE FOLLOWING PROJECTS: NISSON ROAD AND EL CAMINO REAL LANDSCAPING ENHANCEMENT PROJECT, 1994-95 FY EDINGER AVENUE MEDIAN LANDSCAPING ENHANCEMENT PROJECTt 1995-96 FY WHEREAS, the United States Congress has enacted the Intel-modal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991, which is to make available over $200 million in federal dollars over a 6 year period as funds to the California Department of Transportation for transportation enhancement activities; and WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation has established the procedures and criteria for reviewing proposals and, along with the Regional Transportation Agencies, will submit to the California Transportation Commission a list of recommended projects from which the recipients will be selected; and WHEREAS, said procedures and criteria established by the California Department of Transportation call for the approval of an application by the applicants governing body before submission of said application to the California Transportation Commission; and WHEREAS, the application contains assurances applicant must comply with; and that the WHEREAS, the applicant, if selected, will agreement with the State of California to transportation enhancement ~ctivities project; enter into an carry out the NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Tustin: ~3 1. Approves the filing of an application for the Transportation Enhancement Activities Program for 24 consideration for funding. Will provide in non-Federal funds approximately $40,000 for the Nisson Road and E1 Camino Real project, and approximately $102,000 for the Edinger Avenue project. 28 Certifies that this body will make adequate provisions for operation'and maintenance of the project. 1 .2 3 4 5 6 7, 8 9 10 11 12 14 15 I6 17 18 19 20 21 2,3 24 25 26 27 28 Appoints Robert S. Ledendecker, Director of Public Works/City Engineer as agent of the City of Tustin to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents, including but not limited to application, agreements, amendments, payment requests and so on, which may be necessary for the completion of the aforementioned projects.
