The Brown Act permits legislative bodies to discuss certain matters without members of the public present. The following items were received for the May 3, 2004 meeting of the City Council: (Agenda Item A) PUBLIC INPUT — Member of the public may address the City Council on items on the Closed Session Agenda. Persons wishing to speak regarding Consent Calendar matters should file a "Request to Speak' form with the City Clerk. (Agenda Items 1 through 6) 1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES —REGULAR MEETING OF APRIL 19, 2004 Recommendation: Approve the Regular City Council Meeting Minutes of April 19, 2004. 2. APPROVAL OF DEMANDS AND RATIFICATION OF PAYROLL Recommendation: Approve Demands in the amount of $349,371.91 and $490,557.16; and ratify Payroll in the amount of $511,160.43. 3. PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION AGENDA: APRIL 26, 2004 All actions of the Planning Commission become final unless appealed by the City Council or member of the public. Recommendation: Ratify the Planning Commission Action Agenda of April 26, 2004. City Council Meeting May 3, 2004 Agenda Page 2 of 4 4. CONTRACT RENEWAL FOR CUSTODIAL SERVICES WITH PACIFIC BUILDING CARE Recommendation: Approve Amendment No. 1 to the agreement with Pacific Building Care for custodial services subject to City Attorney approval. 5. SET A PUBLIC HEARING FOR MAY 17, 2004 AT 7:00 P.M. TO CONSIDER VARIOUS SOLID WASTE RATE ADJUSTMENTS AND PLACING RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE RATES ON THE FY 04-05 COUNTY PROPERTY TAX ROLL Recommendation: Set a public hearing for May 17, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. to consider various rate adjustments and to place the residential solid waste fees on the County Assessor's tax roll. 6. APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT NO. 2 EXTENDING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN CLEAN CHANNEL OUTDOOR AND THE CITY OF TUSTIN TO CONSTRUCT AND MAINTAIN BUS SHELTERS AND BENCHES WITHIN THE CITY OF TUSTIN Recommendation: Approve Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement with Clean Channel Outdoor to construct and maintain bus shelters and benches for two- year period and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the amendment on behalf of the City. REGULAR BUSINESS Matters listed on the Regular Business are generally proposals for new legislation or items requiring discussion. (Agenda Item 7) 7. GRAD NIGHT FUNDING Tustin and Foothill High Schools are requesting a $2,500 donation each from the City to support Grad Night Activities. Recommendation: Pleasure of the City Council.
