A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING WORKS OF IMPROVEMENT AND AUTHORIZING
RECORDATION OF NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND
MODIFICATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL AND SAFETY LIGHTING AT VARIOUS
LOCATIONS (PROJECT NOS. 800032, 800038, 800039, 800040, AND
800041)
WHEREAS, a contract was originally awarded to Intersection
Maintenance Service (I.M.S.) for the construction of the
hereinafter described public works and improvements; and
WHEREAS, /.M.S. filed bankruptcy and was unable to complete
the work causing the surety company, Safeco Insurance, to take over
said contract; and
WHEREAS, Safeco Insurance contracted with Steiny and Company
for the construction of the described public works and
improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has duly certified to the
construction and completion of said public improvements hereinafter
mentioned in a manner satisfactory to the City Council of the City
of Tustin; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said public improvements
hereinafter more particularly described have been completed in
accordance with the provisions of the contract documents and the
Notice of Completion and acceptance of said public works and
improvements should be filed and payment of the balance due to said
contract authorized in accordance with the contract documents;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Tustin that said public works and improvements be, and the same
is hereby accepted. Said public works and improvements are more
particularly described as follows:
New traffic signal and safety lighting installation at Bryan
Avenue and Farmington Road.
New traffic signal, safety lighting, signing, and striping
installation and street improvements at Yorba Street and
Vandenberg Lane, including traffic signal coordination with
17th Street.
Modification to the existing traffic signal at Red Hill Avenue
and Bryan Avenue to provide protected left-turn movements in
all directions.
Modifications to the existing traffic signal at Red Hill
Avenue and Mitchell Avenue to provide protected left-turn
movements from Red Hill Avenue to Mitchell Avenue.

Modification to the existing traffic signal at Walnut Avenue
and Browning Avenue to provide protected left-turn movements
from Walnut Avenue to Browning Avenue.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineer of the City
of Tustin be and is hereby authorized to execute and file a Notice
of Completion and acceptance of said public works and improvements
described herein as required by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Tustin held on the 6th day of July, 1992.
