HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 92-33 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 2O 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 RESOLUTION NO. 92-33 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA SUPPORTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE EFFORT TO UPGRADE AND ENHANCE TRAFFIC FLOW ALONG IRVINE BOULEVARD BETWEEN SR-55 AND EASTERLY OF BROWNING AVENUE WITH THE EXTENSION OF ON-STREET PARKING PROHIBITIONS IN THIS AREA WIIEREAS, the City of TustJ. n recognizes it is in the public interest that Irvine Boulevard, between State Route 55 and a point easterly of Browning Avenue, be implemented as a modified major arterial highway; and WHEREAS, the existing operational status of Irvine Boulevard between State Route 55 and a point easterly of Browning Avenue, as a primary arterial highway, will not meet the future level of service requirgments mandated by the Congestion Management Program and the Growth Management Element Features of Measure M; and WHEREAS, the City of Tustin's failure to meet the required level of service requirements of the Congestion Management Program and Growth Management Element Features of Measure M could result in a loss of future funding from Proposition III and Measure M monies. NOW, THERF. FORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETER~4INE AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Support of the County of Orange effort to upgrade and enhance traffic flow along Irvine Boulevard, between State Route 55 and a Doint easterly of Browning Avenue° Section 2. Support of the extension of the on-street parking prohibiting along both sides of Irvine Boulevard between State Route 55 and a point easterly of Browning Avenue. Section 3.
