HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 91-0821 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 2O 21 22 23 RESOLUTION NO. 91-82 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE DEFINITION OF, AND PROCESS FOR, DETERMINING THE CONSISTENCY OF A LOCAL JURISDICTION'S CIRCULATION PLAN WITH THE COUNTY MASTER PLAN OF ARTERIAL HIGHWAYS FOR MEASURE M PURPOSES. The City Council of the City of Tustin hereby resolves, determines, and orders as follows: WHEREAS, the City of Tustin desires to maintain and improve the street and roads within its jurisdiction; WHEREAS, the City supports transportation improvements; regional coordination of WHEREAS, the City desires to use funds collected from the Revised Orange County Traffic Improvement and Growth Management Ordinance for transportation maintenance and improvement projects. WHEREAS, the Revised Orange County Traffic Improvement and Growth Management Ordinance states that within six months after approval of the Retail Tax by the electors, the Orange County Local Transportation Authority (OCLTA), through a cooperative process involving the County and all of the cities within the County, shall adopt a definition of, and a process for, determining consistency of each jurisdiction's Traffic Circulation Plan with the Master Plan of Arterial Highways (MPAH). WHEREAS, representatives from OCLTA, City Engineers Association, City Managers Association and the County of Orange have developed a definition of, and process for, determining consistency of each jurisdiction's Traffic Circulation Element with the MPAH (Attachment A) which was endorsed by a unanimous vote of the Orange County Division of the League of California Cities. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the City Council of the City of Tustin hereby endorses the Regional Funding Program Consistency and Eligibility Criteria as included in Attachment A as the defintion of, and process for, determining consistency of the City of Tustin's Traffic Circulation Plan with the MPAH.
