RESOLUTION NO. 90-29
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFOILNIA,
APPROVING DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN
RECORDS.
WHEREAS, except for records affecting title to real
property or liens thereon, court records, records required to
be kept by statute, records less than two (2) years old and
the minutes, ordinances, or resolutions of the city Council
and other City boards or commissions, Government Code Section
]~3 34090 authorizes the head of a city department to destroy any
city record, document, instrument, book or paper, under his
charge, without making a copy thereof, after the same is no
~1~. longer required, with the approval of the City Council by
121 resolution and the written consent of the City Attorney;
I WHEREAS, the Council upon the request of the Director of
l"q3! Community and Administrative Services desires to approve
I¢.ii immediate destruction of certain records, to whit, test
materials and applications for recruitments of the
Administrative Services Department, each of which is not less
I~'i than two (2) years old; and
1~ ' WHEREAS, the City Attorney of the City of Tustin has

filed his written consent with the Clerk of the Council of the
~71! City of Tustin;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of
1,,i~ the City of Tustin:
Pursuant to Section 34090 et seq. of the Government Code
I of the State of California, approval is hereby granted for the
2!11 immediate destruction of the items listed below which, as of
ii January 1, 1990, have been retained for a minimum of two (2)
,~ ~ years:
~;~ ~ 1987 test materials and applications for recruitments of
the Administrative Services Department.

CONSENT OF CITY ATTORNEY
I, the undersigned, JAMES G. ROURKE, City Attorney of the City
of Tustin, California, do hereby consent to the destruction of the
materials described in the attached Resolution.
