OFFICIAL NOTICE OF CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Planning Commission of the City of Tustin, California, will continue the
public hearing item CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT (CUP) 2017-15 from OCTOBER 10, 2017 to
NOVEMBER 14, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, 300 Centennial Way, Tustin, California.
The City of Tustin encourages the public to participate in the decision-making process. The following
notice is being provided so that you can ask questions, make comments and stay informed about
projects that might be important to you. We encourage you to contact us prior to the public hearing
if you have any questions.
The Planning Commission will consider the following:
CUP 2017-15
Applicant: Jeremy Zoch, St. Joseph Hospital - Orange
Project Address: 13132 Newport Avenue
On September 26, 2017 the Planning Commission held a public hearing on CUP 2017-15, a request to
amend a previously approved CUP 94-015 relative to the hours of operation and amend CUP 2015-27
for a joint use parking demand analysis relative to the adequacy of the existing 269 parking spaces at
Packers Square shopping center to accommodate a 7,600 square foot mental health out-patient crisis
service facility located at 13132 Newport Avenue. The project site is within the Planned Community
Commercial (PC COM) Zoning District. Pursuant to Tustin City Code and the Development Plan for the
PC COMM Zoning District, the amendments to the previously approved Conditional Use Permits
require approval from the Planning Commission.
At the hearing, the Planning Commission requested additional information from the applicant. As a
result, the Planning Commission continued the public hearing to October 10, 2017. This public notice
is to inform you that CUP 2017-15 WILL BE CONTINUED FROM OCTOBER 10, 2017 TO NOVEMBER
14, 2017 TO ALLOW ADEQUATE TIME FOR THE APPLICANT TO PROVIDE THE REQUESTED
INFORMATION.
This project is Categorically Exempt pursuant to Section 15301, Class 1 of Title 14, Chapter 3 of the
California Code of Regulations (Guidelines for the California Environmental Quality Act).
If you challenge the subject item in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or
someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence
delivered to the City of Tustin, at, or prior to the public hearing.
