EXHIBIT B
CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS
DESIGN REVIEW 91-30
July 8, 1991
In accordance with Ordinance No. 1001 which was adopted June 20,
1988 by the Tustin City Council, the Community Development Director
has the authority to approve, approve with conditions or deny a
Certificate of Appropriateness for improvements requiring a City
building permit for property located within a Cultural Resource
District.
The following findings are required before a Certificate of
Appropriateness is issued:
1. The proposed work conforms to the Municipal Code and design
standards which may be established from time to time by the
Cultural Resources Committee.
2. The proposed work does not adversely affect the character of
the District or Designated Cultural Resources within the
District.
3. The proposed work is harmonious with existing surroundings.
The extent of harmony shall be evaluated in terms of
appropriateness of materials, scale, size, height, placement
and use of a new building or structure in relationship to
existing buildings and structures and the surrounding setting.
The Community Development Director has reviewed the proposed 350
square foot room addition in conjunction with Design review 91-30
at the subject location and has determined that the proposed
improvements are in conformance with the above requirements in that
the addition is consistent with the general character of the
overall building site, and does not detract from the surrounding
structures in the residential district.
The Community Development Director therefore approves a Certificate
of Appropriateness for a 350 square foot room addition at 505
Second Street, subject to the conditions contained in Exhibit A
approving Design Review 91-30.
