In accordance with Ordinance No. 1001 which was adopted Business License

June 20, 1988 by the Tustin City Council, the Community
Development Director has the authority to approve, Inspection Requests
approve with conditions or deny Certification of (714)573-3141
Appropriateness for improvements requiring a City Graffiti Hot Line
building permit for property located within a Cultural (714) 573-3111
Resource District.

The following findings are required before a Certificate (714)573-3113
of Appropriateness is issued:
a. The proposed work conforms to the Municipal Code
and design standards which may be established from
time to time by the Cultural Resources Committee.
b. The proposed work does not adversely affect the
character of the District or Designated Cultural
Resources within the District.
C. The proposed work is harmonious with existing
surroundings. The extent of harmony shall be
evaluated in terms of appropriateness of materials,
scale, size, height, placement and use of a new
building or structure in relationship to existing
buildings and structures and the surrounding
setting.

The Community Development Director has reviewed the proposal to
replace the exterior stairway at the above mentioned address and
has determined that the proposed work is in conformance with the
above requirements. The proposed work is hereby approved subject
to the following conditions:
1. The concrete stair treads and risers shall be uncolored
concrete with neutral colored aggregate or painted to
match the adjacent existing building.
2. All new steel handrails, safety rails, supports, posts
and channel stringers shall be painted to match the
adjacent existing building.
3. The applicant shall obtain all required building permits
and pay all applicable plan check and permit fees to the
Building Division.
4. All construction shall be completed in conformance with
the approved plans.
