b. The proposed work does not adversely affect the
character of the District or Designated Cultural
Resources within the District.
C. The proposed work is harmonious with existing
surroundings. The extent of harmony shall be
evaluated in terms of appropriateness of materials,
scale, size, height, placement and use of a new
building or structure in relationship to existing
buildings and structures and the surrounding
setting.

The Community Development Department has reviewed the proposed re-
roofing plans for the non-contributing residential structure at 145
Pasadena Avenue and has determined that the proposal is in
conformance with the above requirements. The proposed light grey
Class.B composition shingle roofing material is a different color,
but identical in material to the previously used composition
shingle roofing material and is appropriate for the subject
building. The proposed work is hereby approved, subject to the
following conditions:
1. Prior to the start of any roofing work, the applicant
shall obtain a building permit and pay all applicable
plan check and permit fees.
2. Any replacement or repair of an existing feature of the
roof (i.e. facia, gutters, downspout, roof vents,
chimneys) shall match the existing materials, finish and
colors of the existing structure.
