In accordance with Ordinance No. 1001 which was adopted Code Enforcement
June 20, 1988 by the Tustin City Council, the Community (714) 573-3134

building permit for property located within a Cultural Inspection Requests
Resource District. (714) 573-3141

The following findings are required before a Certificate (714)573-3111
of Appropriateness is issued:

a. The proposed work conforms to the Municipal Code (714) 573-3113
and design standards which may be established from
time to time by the Cultural Resources Committee.
b. The proposed work does not adversely affect the
character of the District or Designated Cultural
Resources within the District.
C. The proposed work is harmonious with existing
surroundings. The extent of harmony shall be
evaluated in terms of appropriateness of materials,
scale, size, height, placement and use of a new
building or structure in relationship to existing
buildings and structures and the surrounding
setting.

The Community Development Director has reviewed the plans for the
installation of a ground -mounted air conditioning unit adjacent to
a commercial structure and has determined that the proposal is in
conformance with the above requirements. The proposed ground -
mounted air conditioning unit will be screened with landscaping and
not be visible from the public right-of-way and is appropriate for
the subject building. The proposed work is hereby approved,
subject to the following conditions:
1. Prior to the start of work, the applicant shall obtain
electrical and mechanical permits and pay all applicable
plan check and permit fees.
2. Any exposed accessory equipment, vents, or pipes shall be
painted to match the color of the existing structure.
3. The proposed ground -mounted air conditioning unit shall
be completely screened from the public right-of-way.
4. The proposed ground -mounted air conditioning unit shall
comply with the City of Tustin Noise Ordinance.
