The following findings are required before a Certificate
of Appropriateness is issued:

a. The proposed work conforms to the Municipal Code

and design standards which may be established from

time to time by the Cultural Resources Committee.
b. The proposed work does not adversely affect the
character of the District or Designated Cultural
Resources within the District.
C. The proposed work is harmonious with -existing
surroundings. The extent of harmony shall be
evaluated in terms of appropriateness of materials,
scale, size, height, placement and use of a new
building or structure in relationship to existing
buildings and structures and the surrounding
setting.

The Community Development Department has reviewed the proposed
remodel and additions to the residential structure located at 235
South Myrtle Street as part of Design Review 95-037 application.
The Community Development Director has determined that the proposal
is in conformance with the above requirements. The proposed
architectural design, style, building mass, colors and materials
are appropriate for the subject building and will strengthen the
character of the area. The proposed work is hereby approved,
subject to the conditions of approval of Design Review 95-037.
