RE -ROOF OF A NON-CONTRIBUTING STRUCTURE
In accordance with Ordinance No. 1001 which was adopted June 20, 1988 by
the Tustin City Council, the Community Development Director has the
authority to approve, approve with conditions or deny Certificates of
Appropriateness for improvements requiring a City building permit for
property located within a Cultural Resource District.
The project involves re -roofing of a non-contributing residential
structure and detached garage at 330 S. Myrtle. The existing white,
composition roof will be replaced with a similar white, composition
roofing material.
The Community Development Department finds and determines as follows:
A. The subject property is a non-contributing structure as documented
by the Tustin Historical Resources Survey.
B. The proposed work conforms to the Municipal.Code and. TCC Section
8103(m) in that in that the proposed roofing material is a minimum
Class B roof covering assembly or better.
C. The proposed work does not adversely affect the character of
designated cultural resources in the vicinity and is harmonious
with existing surroundings in that the proposed roofing material
will match as closely as possible the existing materials on the
residence and detached garage.
The project is hereby approved, subject to the following condition:
1. The roofing materials shall match those used on the existing
residence and detached garage to the greatest extent feasible and
all metal flashing shall be painted to match the existing
residence and garage.
