City Council, the Community Development Director has the authority to approve, approve
with conditions or deny Certificates of Appropriateness for improvements requiring a City
building permit for property located within a Cultural Resource District.
The proposed project includes construction of a 700 square foot addition to an existing
residence which is identified as a "C" rated California Bungalow structure per the Tustin

in that the proposed work will require issuance of a building permit and site
inspections.

District or Designated Cultural Resources within the District in that the proposed
addition would be constructed to complement the existing house in design and
scale consistent with the architectural character of the existing rated structure. As
conditioned, the proposed addition would be constructed of materials that match
the existing residence as documented in the Tustin Historical Resources Survey.
C. As conditioned, the proposed work is harmonious with existing surroundings in that
the addition would complement the style, material, and scale of the existing and the
surrounding properties.
