415 W. SIXTH STREET
WINDOW MODIFICATION TO A RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE
In accordance with Ordinance No. 1001 which was adopted June 20, 1988, by the Tustin City Council, the
Community Development Director has the authority to approve, approve with conditions, or deny Certificates
of Appropriateness for improvements for property located within a. Cultural Resource District. The proposed
project includes the removal of an existing bathroom window with gridlines located at the rear , of the
residence and replacement with a new single -pane double hung window (see attached). The structure is a
"D -rated" California Bungalow structure per the Tustin Historical Resources Survey.
The Community Development Department finds and determines as follows:
A. The proposed work does not adversely affect the character of the District or Designated .Cultural
Resources within the District in that tbeTol2 osed window renlnces a non -opening French window with
the me size openable double hung window at the same location,apnro nate with the e.xistingstyle of
the house,
B. The proposed work is harmonious with existing surroundings in that the proposed window is consistent
with the architectural stele of the house.
The proposed work is hereby approved, subject to the following conditions:
If the opening of the window is enlarged or reduced, the applicant shall obtain a building permit and pay
all applicable plan check and permit fees prior to installation of the new window.
