or deny Certificates of Appropriateness for improvements to any property located within a Cultural
Resource District. The proposed project includes the construction of a six (6) foot masonry block

The Community Development Department finds and determines as follows:
A. In accordance with Tustin City Code Section 9252(H)(2)(a), the proposed work conforms to
the Municipal Code.
B. In accordance with Tustin City Code Section 9252(H)(2)(b), the proposed work will not
adversely affect the character of the Cultural Resources District or resources within the
District in that the wall is compatible with the design of the existing residence, matches the
material and color of the existing chimney, and conforms to the requirements of the Single
Family Residential zoning district.
C. In accordance with Tustin City Code Section 9252(H)(2)(c), the proposed work is harmonious
with the existing surroundings. In evaluating this, the appropriateness of materials, size,
