CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS
205 S. PACIFIC STREET
REROOF OF A NON RATED RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE
In accordance with Ordinance No. 1001 which was adopted June 20, 1988, by the Tustin City Council, the
Community Development Director has the authority to approve, approve with conditions, or deny Certificates
of Appropriateness for improvements requiring a City building permit for property located within a Cultural
Resource District. The proposed project includes the removal of an existing composite shingle roof to be
replaced with a new 50 -year composite shingle roofing (Color: Copper Canyon or light brown). The
structure is a "non -rated" structure per the Tustin Historical Resources Survey.
The Community Development Department finds and determines as follows:
A. The proposed work conforms to the Municipal Code and any applicable design standards in that in
• accordance with TCC Section 91 03 (m)the }proposed roof is a class A covering assembly_,
B. The proposed work does not adversely affect the character of the District or Designated Cultural
Resources within the District in that the nosed roof replaces a dilapidated roof with n .w com osi
shingles-, apDropriate to the existing4le of the house.
C. The proposed work is han-nonious with existing surroundings in that the prol)osed roof is consistent with
the style of the existing roof and approllriate for the st)Je of the house_.T�e Proposed roofing material
color is comDatible wit� the existing liRht beige house colors.
The proposed work is hereby approved, subject to the following conditions:
Prior to the start of any work, the applicant shall obtain a building permit and pay all applicable plan
check and permit fees.
2. Any replacement or repair of any existing features surrounding the roof shall match the existing
materials, finish, and colors of the existing structure.
