PROPOSAL: The property is improved with a rated "C" California Bungalow style single family
residential structure per the Tustin Historical Resources.Survey. The property is
not located within the Cultural Resource District. The project involves the
relocation of the original double -hung window from the existing bathroom to the
dining room and coverage of the bathroom opening with siding to match the
existing home.
In accordance with Ordinance No. 1001 which was adopted June 20, 1988, by the Tustin City
Council, the Community Development Director has the authority to approve, approve with conditions,
or deny Certificates of Appropriateness for improvements requiring a City building permit for property
that is a Designated Cultural Resource or located within a Cultural Resource District.
The Community Development Department finds and determines as follows:
A. The proposed work will not detrimentally alter, destroy or adversely affect the resource, and in
the case of a structure, is compatible with the architectural style of the existing structure in
that the proposed dining room window is original to the structure and matches the two existing
original windows in the dining room. The proposed coverage of the bathroom opening
consists of siding that will be installed in a seamless manner and match the existing siding in
material and color.
B. The proposed modification will retain the essential elements which make the structure, site or
feature culturally significant in that the proposed work involves minor modification to the
existing home, thus the home will retain the essential elements and features of the existing
structure.
The proposed work is hereby approved, subject to the following conditions:
Prior to the start of any work, the applicant shall obtain a building permit and pay all applicable
plan check and permit fees.

2. Any replacement or repair of any existing features surrounding the windows and proposed
wall shall match the existing materials, finish, and colors of the existing structure. The
proposed exterior siding shall be installed in a seamless manner and match the existing
exterior siding.
