Master Bedroom Windows Renovation for 415 W 6hStreet, Tustin, CA
Description of Work
The project is to replace windows in the upstairs Master Bedroom. This request for Certificate of Appropriateness is to replace applicable portions that
was included in the plan package for the "Upstairs Bathroom #2 Renovation for 415 W. 6u' Street, Tustin, CA" dated October 12, 2007 that had a
subsequent Certificate of Appropriateness.
No new or increased existing openings are proposed, therefore no building permit is anticipated. On the north side of the room, two stationary •
windows with a French Pane style are proposed to be replaced with two single double hung windows with no divided lights. On the west side of the
room, two side sliding windows with a French Pane style are proposed to be replaced by twin double hung windows with no divided lights (see Project
Site Plan for window locations). The bedroom was part of a later addition to the home estimated to occur in the 1920's. It is not known if the windows
were part of the original addition or if they were part of the renovation in the 1970's to convert the structure to an office use.
The proposed windows are intended to be similar to the windows in function and style as the windows associated with the original structure. The
exterior window trim will be in-kind with the existing trim. See Photo Exhibits for existing condition of windows.
