HUSTON, CITY MANAGER FROM: PUBLIC WORK DEPARTMENT / FIELD SERVICES SUBJECT: SURPLUS EQUIPMENT SALES REPORT SUMMARY Notice of the sale of surplus equipment at public auction in accordance with Section 1626 of the Tustin Municipal Code. RECOMMENDATION Receive and file. FISCAL IMPACT The total net proceeds in the amount of $20,268.50 received from the subject sale will be credited to the general fund in the amount of $19,303.50 and account 58-000-4771 in the amount of $965.00. BACKGROUND On January 16, 2001, the Tustin City Council declared certain equipment surplus and not required for public use and authorized its sale at public auction in accordance with Section 1626 of the Tustin Municipal Code. DISCUSSION The equipment listed on the attached report was sold at public auction on February 4, 2001. The following is a summary of the sales proceeds and costs: Gross Proceeds $22,100.00 Auction Commission Costs -$773.50 Smog Test Fees -$330.00 Safety Inspections -$450.00 Other Related Charges -$278.00 Net Proceeds S20,268.50 Tim D.
