Tustin Chamber of Commerce Letter
't
TUSTIN To preserve the free enterprise system, to preserve and expand the potential of
all business and professional enterprises, and to promote the civic cultural and
CHAMBER of COMMERCE social well being of the City of Tustin and surrounding community.
September 21, 2018
The Tustin Chamber of Commerce is excited to once again produce the Totally Tustin Food and Wine Festival in
conjunction with the City of Tustin! 'The O' Annual Totally Tustin Food & Wine Festival will take place on Sunday
November 11, 2018 in the iconic Tustin Hangar.
With the move for the event from Tustin City Hall, to the Tustin Hangar, there is both excitement and increased effort
needed to pull off what will again be a successful showcase. Our goal is to have 40 restaurants participate. We will be
planning and budgeting for a minimum attendance of 1000 for the evening.
The Chamber of Commerce is looking forward to again splitting the proceeds with the City of Tustin, to assistant in
funding some great local projects that will enhance our fine city to both benefit existing business and work to attract new
businesses. The half of the proceeds from the festival that will be at the City's discretion to use are planned to be used for
enhancements to Tustin's Old Town, a new educational kiosk to be installed at the soon to be built Veteran's Memorial
and refurbishing the War Memorial building in Tustin.
Each year this event has grown in both attendance and restaurant participation, with almost all restaurants continuing to
participate once they have experienced it. We strive to make this event successful for all parties involved. Restaurants get
the opportunity to sample your best and entice customers to come to your restaurant and the City of Tustin wins by
creating an exhibit that will showcase Tustin as a destination.
The Chamber of Commerce appreciates all that the City does to partner together to continue to support and promote
business in Tustin. The Chamber respectfully requests that the City acknowledge and agree to waive facility rental fees,
permit fees and City staff time fees for Totally Tustin event. City staff estimates that these services total approximately
$10,000. The event will be branded as a co-sponsorship between the Chamber of Commerce and the City of Tustin. The
Chamber of Commerce is prepared to provide the necessary insurance and other documentation required under the City's
standard license agreement.
On behalf of the board of the Chamber of Commerce and the Totally Tustin Committee, thank you to both the City staff
and the City Council for your support of Totally Tustin. We commit to putting our time and energy into this event to
make it another memorable night, where the community of Tustin can come together to celebrate each other and our
wonderful city.
Best regards, Acknowledged and Agreed by City of Tustin:
