HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 98-491 RESOLUTION NO. 98-49 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 3 TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF 4 FOUR IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS TO THE ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR FUNDING UNDER THE 5 COMBINED TRANSPORTATION FUNDING PROGRAM 6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN HEREBY RESOLVES, 7 DETERMINES, AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS THAT: 8 WHEREAS, the City of Tustin desires to implement the transportation improvements listed below; and 9 WHEREAS, the City of Tustin has been declared by the Orange County 10 Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility requirements to receive Measure M "ramback" 11 funds; and 12 WHEREAS, the City's Circulation Element is consistent with the Orange County Master Plan of Arterial Highways; and 13 14 WHEREAS, the City of. Tustin will provide matching funds for the project as required by the Orange County Combined Transportation Funding Program Procedures Manual; and 15 WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority intends to allocate funds 16 for transportation improvement projects within the incorporated cities and the County; and 17 WHEREAS, the City of Tustin will not use Measure M funds to supplant Developer 18 Fees or other commitments; and I9 WHEREAS, the City of Tustin will use Arterial Highway Rehabilitation Funding as a supplement to their existing pavement management program. 20 21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: 22 The City Council of the City of Tustin hereby requests the Orange County Transportation Authority allocate funds in the amounts specified in the City' s applications to ?,3 the City of Tustin from the Combined Transportation Funding Programs. Said funds shall be matched by funds from the City as required and shall be used as ~upplemental funding to aid 24 the City in the improvement of the following streets: 25 1. ReConstruction of Jamboree Road, between 1,350 and 2,750 feet north of Tustin Ranch 26 Road; 2. Rehabilitation of Red Hill Avenue, between Edinger Ayehue and Walnut Avenue; 27 3. Rehabilitation oflrvine Boulevard, between SR-55 Freeway .and Prospect Avenue; and' 4. Reconstruction of Pr0spect Avenue, between First Street and Irvine Boulevard. 28 I 2 PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Tustin held on the 18th day of May, 1998.
