2013-15: Workshops and hearings
for second residential units
3 public workshops
4 public hearing
2016: Vintage project
More on-site parking than required.
BACKGROUND -Concerns
Many vehicles parked on Old Town residential streets.
Vehicles frequently obstruct sidewalks and driveways.
Individuals from other areas park in front of homes.
Illegal construction and conversions to living units.
Second units, new condominiums, etc. exacerbate the
demand for on-street parking in Old Town.

Staff met with Tustin Acres HOA Board members.
Staff met with impacted residents.
Old Town on-street parking capacity was surveyed.
Parking Survey conducted as part of DCCP.

Guest permits
RECOMMENDATION
That the City Council:
Direct staff to mail the proposed
permit parking policy and
ballot/petition.
Direct staff to report back to the
City Council with the results of the
ballot/petition to provide the basis
for a recommended strategy for
Council consideration.
