NEEDS ASSESSMENT
The Needs Assessment was generated in accordance with the City of Tustin Strategic
Plan and the Senior Center Mission:
Promoting aging in place and keeping seniors in their homes as long as possible; with
the highest quality of life, by offering superior recreation and human services
programs.
PARTICIPATING IN THE TASC NEEDS ASSESSMENT PROCESS
HAS INITIATED DISCUSSION AMONG STAFF TO CONSIDER
IMMEDIATE OPERATIONAL ACTIONS WITH OUR LIMITED
RESOURCES –PHASE #1
Phase #1 Considerations:
•Expand marketing approach to entire community through the Tustin Today
brochure (creates more awareness)
•Create new programs and classes that encourage cultural diversity (increases
diversity of patrons reflective of Tustin community)
•Produce intergenerational events and trips (introduces all age groups and family
members to center and programs)
•Collaborate with local senior centers (share facilities and programs)
•Partner with area business community (programs and facilities)
•Open Senior Center from 8:00am –12:00pm on Saturdays (expands space and
opportunities)
