I_._ I __ SUMMARY In conjunction with the initial construction of Jamboree Road, north of Tustin Ranch Road, the Irvine Company granted to the City of Tustin a temporary construction easement for the improvements on Jamboree Road. The Irvine Company has recently requested that the City quitclaim this construction easement to facilitate their East Orange development. RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the attached Jamboree Road Construction Easement Quitclaim Deed to The Irvine Company, subject to approval by the City Attorney. FISCAL IMPACT None. BACKGROUND The Irvine Company granted a temporary construction easement, recorded October 31, 1988, to the City of Tustin for the construction of Jamboree Road from approximately 2800 feet northerly of Tustin Ranch Road to approximately 1800 feet northerly of the City limits. The terms of the easement required that a release of Tustin's'rights be recorded after completion and acceptance of the improvements. Portions of the construction easement area on parcels acquired by the Transportation Corridor Agency (TCA) for the construction of the West Leg of the Easterr Transportation Corridor were quitclaimed to the TCA at the January 5, 1999 City Council meeting. The Jamboree Road project has been completed and accepted and now that The lrvine Compan is beginning their initial engineering for their "East Orange" development, they are requesting th~ the City release the remainder of the temporary construction easement by executing the attach~ quitclaim deed.
