HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 05-16 RESOLUTION NO. 05-16 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF APPLICATIONS FOR CERTAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS TO THE ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR FUNDING UNDER THE COMBINED TRANSPORTATION FUNDING PROGRAMS FOR FISCAL YEARS 2005/2006 THROUGH 2009/201 0 WHEREAS, the City of Tustin desires to implement the transportation improvements listed in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated here.in; and WHEREAS, tþe City of Tustin has been declared by the Orange County Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility requirements to receive Measure M "Turnback" Funds; and WHEREAS, the City's Circulation Element is consistent with the County of Orange Master Plan of Arterial Highways; and WHEREAS, the City of Tustin will provide matching funds for each project as required by the Orange County Combined Transportation Funding Program Procedures Manual; and WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority intends to allocate funds for transportation improvement projects within the incorporated cities and the County; and WHEREAS, the City of Tustin will not use Measure M Funds to supplant Developer fees or other commitments; and WHEREAS, the City of Tustin will use Arterial Highway Rehabilitation Funding as a supplement to their existing pavement management program; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Tustin hereby requests that the Orange County Transportation Authority allocate funds in the amounts specified in the City's applications to said City from the Combined Transportation Funding Programs for Fiscal Years 2005/2006 through 2009/2010. Said funds shall be matched by funds from said City as required and shall be used as supplemental funding to aid the City in the improvement of the projects listed in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein.
