HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 89-179' 6 10 11 12 14: 15 1(; 17 18 1,q ~0 2] 22 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 89-179 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TuSTIN, CALIFORNIA APPROVING THE CITY ' S 1990-91 APPLICATION FOR HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUNDS AND · AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF SUCH APPLICATION TO THE COUNTY OF ORANGE. Whereas, under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, Federal assistance may be provided for the support of Community Development activities which are directed toward certain specific objectives as set forth in the Act; and Whereas, as a City with population of less than 50,000, Tustin's Community Development Block Grant Application (CDBG) is submitted to and funds are distributed by the County of Orange. Whereas, the following steps were taken in preparation of the City's 1990-91 Community Development Block Grant Application- 1. Citizens were furnished with information concerning the CDBG Program, the range of eligible activities, and the proposed use of funds through a Citizen Participation workshop and hearing noticed and held on November' 15', 1989. . ..... 2. A public hearing to obtain the views of citizens on community development and housing needs was held on December 4, 1989. 3. An .application has been prepared for the City's participation in the 1990-91 CDBG Year 16 Program. This information was publicized in such a manner to afford citizens an opportunity to submit comments on the proposed use of funds and the Community Development performance of the City of Tustin; and . Whereas, a public hearing on the City's application 1990-91 Community Development Department Block Grant Application was held on December 4, 1989. Now, therefore, the City Council of the City of Tustin resolves as follows' 1(} 11 12 15 17' 18, ! 26 Resolution No. 89-179 Page 2 Section 1: and Community Development funds, use of funds is hereby approved prioritization listed.
