1. LARGE FAMILY DAY CARE 2019-00002
APPLICANTS/

REQUEST:
A request to operate a large family day care home caring for up to fourteen (14)
children.
ENVIRONMENTAL STATUS:
This project is statutorily exempt pursuant to Section 15274 of the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Zoning Administrator adopt Zoning Administrator Action (ZAA) No. 19-004
approving Large Family Day Care Permit(LFD) 2019-00002 to operate a large family
day care home, caring for up to fourteen (14)children in an existing residence located
at 13361 Coral Reef Road.
It was noted there were no members of the public in attendance for this item.
The applicant, Don Algama, was present.
The Zoning Administrator stated she had reviewed the staff report and did not need
a presentation.
The Zoning Administrator opened the Public Comments Section of the Public
Meeting at 10:03 a.m.

The Zoning Administrator asked Mr. Algama if he had the opportunity to review ZAA
19-004, including the Conditions of Approval, and she emphasized the importance
of complying with the Conditions of Approval (i.e. noise levels and traffic). Mr.
Algama reviewed the Conditions of Approval and he had no concerns with complying
with the Conditions of Approval. The Zoning Administrator stated that surrounding
neighbors had been notified of the project and that four (4) out of ten (10) who were
notified via U.S. mail, called and spoke with Jessica Aguilar, Assistant Planner, with
regards to possible noise and traffic concerns. The Zoning Administrator stated that
the item was appealable and that anyone could appeal within ten (10)calendar days.
Again, Mr. Algama reiterated he would comply with the Conditions of Approval.
The Zoning Administrator closed the Public Comments Section at 10:05 a.m.
The Zoning Administrator adopted ZAA 19-004.
The Public Meeting Item was closed at 10:05 a.m.

The date of the next meeting of the Zoning Administrator will be scheduled when
items are set for hearing.
