HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 89-156 RESOLUTION NO. 89-156 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, UPHOLDING THE PLANNING COMMISSION'S APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 88-15, AMENDING THE MASTER SIGN PROGRAM FOR THE TUSTIN MARKET PLACE. The City Council of the City of Tustln does hereby resolve as follows: I The City Council finds and determines as follows: A A proper application (Amendment to CUP 88-15) was filed by Donahue Schriber, representing the Irvine Company, requesting approval of an amendment to the Master Sign Program for the Tustin Market Place. B · A public hearing was duly called, noticed and held on sald application on August 14, August 28, and September 11, 1989. C At their regular meeting on September 11, 1989, the Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. 2657 conditionally approving an amendment to Conditional Use Permit 88-15. The City Council, at their regular meeting on September 18th, subsequently appealed the Planning Commission's decision. D Pursuant to Section 9291 of the Tustin Municipal Code, the Council finds that the proposed amendments to the Master Sign Program will not be detrimental to the health, safety, morals, comfort, general welfare of the persons working or residing in the neighborhood nor will it be injurious or detrimental to property and improvements in the area. The Council further finds that the amended Master Sign Program will provide for signs that are compatible with, and complimentary to the architectural design and treatments of the Tustin Market Place. E The subject amendment to Conditional Use Permit has been determi ned to be Categorical ly Exempt pursuant to the provisions of Section 13511(a) (Class 11) of the California Environmental Qual i ty Act.
