CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT (CUP) 2019-00010 APPLICANT: JESSICA TRONT ESCAPEMENT ROOMS, LLC 13621 BELLE RIVE SANTA ANA, CA 92705 PROPERTY OWNER: PLAZA LAFAYETTE INVESTORS C/O REMARC MANAGEMENT, INC. 24800 CHRISANTA DRIVE, SUITE 130 MISSION VIEJO, CA 92691 LOCATION: 13031 NEWPORT AVENUE, #202 REQUEST: To establish and operate an indoor amusement resort, known as an "escape room". ENVIRONMENTAL STATUS: This project is categorically exempt (Class 1) pursuant to Section 15301 of the California Environmental Quality Act. RECOMMENDATION: That the Zoning Administrator adopt Zoning Administrator Action (ZAA) No. 19-006 approving CUP 2019-00010 to operate an indoor amusement resort, known as an "escape room"; within an existing 1,540 square foot tenant space located at 13031 Newport Avenue, #202, in Plaza Lafayette shopping center. It was noted there were no members of the public in attendance for this item. Zoning Administrator Action Minutes July 30, 2019 Page 2 The Zoning Administrator stated she had reviewed the staff report and did not need a presentation. The Zoning Administrator opened the Public Comments Section of the Public Meeting at 10:01 a.m. The Zoning Administrator asked Ms. Tront if she had the opportunity to review ZAA 19-006, including the Conditions of Approval. Ms. Trong reviewed the Conditions of Approval and she had no comments or concerns. The Zoning Administrator closed the Public Comments Section at 10:02 a.m. The Zoning Administrator adopted ZAA 19-006. The Public Meeting Item was closed at 10:02 a.m. REGULAR BUSINESS: None ADJOURNMENT: 10:02 a.m. The date of the next meeting of the Zoning Administrator will be scheduled when items are set for hearing.
