WHEREAS, Assemby Bill 1830 (Peace, Johnson, introduced into the California State Legislature; and Bergeson) has been WHEREAS, Assembly Bill 1830 would create an airport joint powers authority to study, investigate and establish a major airport to serve the Southern Call fornia area; and WHEREAS, the Cit¥ jurisdi ctlons having the their boundaries; and of right Tustin supports the concept of local to approve or disapprove an airport within WHEREAS, Assembly Btll 1830 dl lutes the control jurisdictions over decisions that directly impact them; and of 1 oca 1 WHEREAS, the City of Tustin is participating in existing airport site selection studies; and WHEREAS, Assembly Bill 1830 would duplicate locate an airport site in or around Orange County; and existing efforts to WHEREAS, the City Toro but is assisting in County's aviation needs. of Tustln opposes the the efforts to seek a commerclallza.tlon of MCAS E1 responsible solution to the NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Tustln does hereby resolve ~s follows- SELECTION 1.
