RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN
RECORDS ·

WHEREAS, except for records affecting title to real
7 property or liens thereon, court records, records required to
be kept by statute, records less than two (2) years old and
8 the minutes, ordinances, or resolutions of the City Council
and other City boards or commissions, Government Code Section
9 34090 authorizes the head of a city department to destroy any
city record, document, instrument, book or paper, under his
charge, without making a copy thereof, after the same is no
longer required, with the approval of the City Council by
resolution and the written consent of the City Attorney;
]2 WHEREAS, the Council upon the request of the Director of
Community and Administrative Services, desires to approve
]3 immediate destruction of certain records, to whit, test
materials and applications for recruitments of the
]4 Administrative Services Department, each of which is not less
than two (2) years old; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney of the City of Tustin has
]~ filed his written consent with the Clerk of the Council of the
!7 City of Tustin;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of
the City of Tustin'
~9 Pursuant to Section 34090 et seq. of the Government Code
of the State of California, approval is hereby granted for the
~0 immediate destruction of the items listed below which, as of
January 1, 1989, have been retained for a minimum of two (2)
years'
1985 test materials and applications for recruitments of
the Administrative Services Department.
1986 test materials and applications for recruitments of
the Administrative Services Department.
