HUIZAR, CHIEF DEPUTY CITY CLERK SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT OF CULTURAL RESOURCES COMMISSIONERS SUMMARY: Three positions on the Cultural Resources Advisory Committee are available due to term expirations. The City advertised said vacancies in the City's website and in the Tustin News. Incumbents M. Brian Sjoberg, John Radice, and lucy Burch were the only applicants for said vacancies. RECOMMENDATION: Pleasure of the City Council. FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact. BACKGROUND: The Cultural Resources Advisory Committee meets on an as-needed basis or at least once per calendar quarter as requested. The Committee acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council on matters affecting the Cultural Resources District (Old Town Tustin), provides recommendations on building and other activities occurring within the District, and serves as a liaison between Old Town residents and the City Council. It is highly desirable that applicants reside or conduct business in the Cultural Resources District, demonstrate interest and knowledge in local history and historical preservation, and/or have expertise in the professions of Architecture, Planning, Archeology, History or other historic preservation-related disciplines. Applications were due June 10, 2005. Incumbents M.
