HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 88-40RESOLUTION NO. 88-40 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE FEDERAL AID URBAN PROGRAM THE IMPROVEMENT OF JAMBOREE ROAD. WHEREAS, the Cities of Tustin and Irvine desire to improve Jamboree Road between Barranca Parkway and Edinger Avenue through the Marine Corps Air Station, Tustin; and WHEREAS, the City of Tustin's Master Plan of Arterial Highways is consistent with the Orange County Master Plan of Arterial Highways; and WHEREAS, the City of Tustin will provide at least 25% in matching funds for this project; and WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Commission intends to allocate Federal Aid Urban funds for the improvement of arterial highways in Orange County; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Tustin joins in a joint application with the City of Irvine requesting the Orange County Transportation Commission allocate $4,000,000 in Federal Aid Urban funds for the improvement of Jamboree Road between Barranca Parkway and Edinger Avenue, to be matched with local funds fo'r a total estimated project cost exceeding $20,000,000.
