HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 87-068 RESOLUTION NO. 87-68 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION TO ALLOCATE ORANGE COUNTY UNIFIED TRANSPORTATION TRUST (OCUTT) FUNDS FOR MAIN STREET BETWEEN "C" STREET AND PACIFIC STREET WHEREAS, Chapter 1512, Statues of 1985 allows the Orange County Transportation Commission to allocate funds from the rapid transit reserve to local agencies for the improvement, construction, or repair of lodal streets and roads; and WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Commission approved a $12 llion OCUTT Streets and Roads Program on April 14, 1986 covering fiscal ears 1986-87 through 1988-89; and WHEREAS, the three-year program includes $87,488 in fiscal year 1986-87 and $71,738 in fiscal year 1987-88 for a reconstruction project on Main-Street etween "C" Street and Pacific Street; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT' RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Tustin hereby requests the Orange County Transportation Commission allocate $6,97.8 for construction engineering and $87,097 for construction for a total of $94,.075 in OCUTT funds to the'City. This request is in conformance with he OCUTT allocation process and does not exceed ninety (90) percent of the rogrammed amount for construction engineering or ninety (90) percent of the share of the construction contract. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Tustin agrees to fund its share the improvement costs in fiscal year 1986-87 and any additional costs over he programmed OCUTT amount of $159,226. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Tustin has awarded the contract for the project on June 15, 1987 for $268,368.24. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Tustin has 1) designed the roject .improvements in accordance with the City's design standards, 2) acquired right of way for the project in conformance with the City's policies procedures, and 3) completed and certified all required environmental d umentation for the project. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the remaining ten (10) percent in OCUTT s will be transferred to the City of Tustin when construction is completed ,nd a final report on the project is accepted by the Orange County Transportation Commission. The City of Tustin agrees to submit the final report to the Orange County Transportation Commission within ninety (90) days r the City's acceptance of the improvements. · PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Tustin at a regular meeting held on the 15th day of June, 1987. .
