A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
CALIFORNIA, ASSUMING FROM THE COUNTY OF ORANGE STREET
LIGNTING DISTRICT THOSE STREET LIGHTS LOCATED WITHIN THE
CITY OF TUSTIN; AND THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE DIRECT TRANSFER
FROM THE COUNTY OF ORANGE ALL PROPERTY TAX REVENUES ASSOCIATED
WITH SAID STREET LIGHTS AS PRESCRIBED BY SECTION 99 OF THE
REVENUE AND TAXATION CODE

WHEREAS, ii: is deemed, by the City Council of the City of Tustin, to
be in the best interest of the community to have both economic and
administrative control of all street lights located within the City of Tustin,
and;
WHEREAS, the County of Orange is willing to transfer economic and
administrative control of those street lights located in the City of Tustin and
currently under the economic and administrative control of the County Lighting
Di st ri ct, and;
WHEREAS, Section 99 of the Revenue and Taxation Code allows for the
direct transfer of property tax revenues supporting those street lights within
the City of Tustin currently in the County Lighting District from the County of
Orange to the City of Tustin, and;

WHEREAS, the County of Orange has agreed to 'the direct transfer of
property tax revenues supporting the street lights within the City of Tustin
currently in the County Lighting District from the County. of Orange to the City
of Tusti n;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City of Tustin will assume those
street lights within Tustin currently in the County Lighting District from the
County of Orange on or before July 1, 1987, subject to the City of Tustin being
the recipient of the direct property tax transfer from the County of Orange for
said lights in the' appropriate proportionate sum from the exact date of
assumption, and the transfer of a corresponding share of the appropriation
limits subject to Article 13B of the State of California Constitution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Tustin, California, held on the 17th day of November , 1986.
