STACK, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/CITY ENGINEER SUBJECT: ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 20-27 ACCEPTING THE FLIGHT WAY (CIP NO. 70229) IN TUSTIN LEGACY FOR PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES SUMMARY As a part of development of City -owned property, formerly known as Cornerstone 1, by Flight Venture LLC (Developer), certain property (i.e. Flight Way) was constructed and reserved for street purposes. The proposed resolution would dedicate and accept Flight Way for public street purposes and subsequent City Council acceptance into the City's system of streets. RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 20-27 accepting the dedication of Flight Way (CIP No. 70229) in Tustin Legacy for public street purposes. FISCAL IMPACT The total reimbursement cost to the Developer is $2,517,266.53. DISCUSSION The development of City -owned property, formerly known as Cornerstone 1, by Flight Venture LLC, reserved property on the former Tustin Marine Corps Air Station for street purposes. Flight Way street improvements were completed and accepted to the satisfaction of the City Engineer on April 16, 2020. The proposed resolution would dedicate and accept this property for public street purposes. The street to be dedicated encompass Flight Way from Barranca Parkway to the entrance of Flight Development, as shown as Parcel A of Parcel Map No. 2015-168. ire gl s . NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Tustin hereby resolves as follows: Section 1. The above recitals are true and correct. Section 2. That the property shown attached hereto as Parcel A of Parcel Map No. 2015-168 depicting portion of Flight Way from Barranca Parkway to the Flight Development entrance is hereby dedicated, accepted, and set apart for public street purposes, and shall be considered by the City Council for acceptance into the City's system of streets.
