ENTITY INTRODUCTION
L
50 year relationship with Santa Ana College
Began in 1955 on the Katella Avenue property in the City of Orange
In 1959 California formed the Commission on Peace Officer Training — provides minimum
standards for California law enforcement
Services were dispersed for decades and building this facility at this location represents
the culmination of this relationship
There have been over 3500 graduates from the inception of the partnership and over
2500 since the opening of the OCSRTA facility — providing services to 62 agencies ranging
from other college and university police forces to city and county law enforcement
Construction took place between 2005 and 2007. The building was dedicated on
September 1 1, 2007.
February 4, 2021 graduating class #242 will have 73 graduates from 17 law enforcement
agencies in Orange and Los Angeles Counties

acres developed and 3 acres
undeveloped.
Given the new challenges facing law
enforcement and first responders, new
facility improvement concepts have
emerged and are being considered for
the undeveloped 3 acres of property
by Santa Ana College.
