Outdoor Dining, Retail and Assembly Uses program
and fee waiver
Purpose - To facilitate the expansion of outdoor dining
and outdoor retail spaces within private property
and/or within the public right-of-way while protecting

Background Innovative Solution - To assist local business owners in
navigating their re-openings by allowing greater
flexibility in using outdoor spaces normally reserved for
other purposes.
CARES Program —The Program was a component of
the Tustin "Covid-19 Aid, Relief, and Economic

• Businesses permitted to temporarily convert portions
of adjacent parking areas, walkways, patios, sidewalks,
and public rights-of-way into customer dining and
