SUBJECT: ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND RELEASE OF
TRAFFIC SIGNAL BOND FOR 1621 EDINGER AVENUE
(TUSTIN BARN. LLC, CUP 02-026)
SUMMARY
Traffic signal and associated improvements at the Edinger Avenue and Parkway Loop
intersection have been completed and accepted. The Public Works Department is now
recommending release of the Faithful Performance Bond for the traffic signal installation.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council release the following bond in the indicated amount:
Faithful Performance Bond No. 838171S ...............................................$200.000.00
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact to the City with this action.
BACKGROUND
As a condition of approval, Tustin Barn. LLC. was required to post the subject bond for the
design and construction of a traffic signal at the Edinger Avenue and Parkway Loop
intersection.
The developer has completed all work related to the traffic signal installation at the Edinger
Avenue and Parkway Loop intersection for Conditional Use Permit 02-026 as required by the
conditions of approval to the satisfaction of the Public Works Department. The public
improvements were completed and accepted on February 16. 2006. It is recommended that the
above-mentioned bond be released at this time.
