HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 86-23 RESOLUTION NO. 86-23 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN REQUESTING THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION TO TAKE PROCEEDINGS FOR THE "ANNEXATION NO. 136 - TENTATIVE TRACT 11370 TO THE CITY OF TUSTIN" ., The City Council of the City of Tustin does hereby resolve as follows- The City Council finds and determines as follows' A. The City of Tustin desires to initiate proceedings pursuant to the Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985, Division 3, commencing wi th Section 56000 of the California Government Code, for the "Annexation No. 136 - Tentative tract 11370 to the City of Tustin"; and B. The territory proposed to be Annexation No. 136 to the City of Tustin is uninhabited, and a description of the boundaries of the territory is set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and C. This proposal is consistent with the sphere of influence of the City of Tustin; and D. It is desired to provide that the proposed Annexation No. 136 be subject to the condition that the area will be part of Tract Map No. 11370; and , E. The reason for this proposed Annexation No. 136 to the City of Tustin is that Lincoln Property Company desires to develop parcels located at the southerly terminus of Newport Avenue and the Route 55 Freeway which is part of Tract Map 11370 for a 160 unit residential condominium project. The City Council hereby approves this resolution and the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of Orange is hereby requested to take proceedings for the "Annexation No. 136 - Tentative Tract 11370 to the City of Tustin" of territory as described in Exhibit "A" according to the terms and conditions sta~ed above and in the manner provided by the Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985.
